As Barley was sold as a pet, he almost never made it into the show ring. Luckily his loving owners, Miriam Mitchell and Phil Moore, contacted me before he was neutered and the rest is a dream come true! Barley finished his championship with 3 five-point majors, all under breeder-judges. He won his first 5-point major with Nash Parker judging a supported entry show, then went on to win Best of Winners at the PWCCP Specialty in 2002. After that Barley and his “Mom and Dad” flew out to Oregon to the 2002 PWCCA National Specialty where he finished his AKC championship by going Best of Winners.
Barley was first bred in 2003 to CH Triple H A League Of Her Own (a Sammy Sosa daughter). That first litter produced two puppies who were recognized for their breed attributes with class placements, Reserve Winners Dog and Best Opposite in Sweeps at the 2004 PWCCA's National Specialty in Biloxi, MS -- Ch. Triple H Amber Brew, and Ch. Triple H Once In A Brew Moon.
Barley is living the life that he loves with Miriam and Phil, Tilly (a Barley daughter) and Pip the Chihuahua (Long Coat) in South Carolina. He enjoys hunting for frogs in the lily pond and going to Agility Class.....click here to see him in action!
